RELOCATION / HOUSE FOR RENT!
Type: — posted at 7:42 pm on 22/7/2008After ten years in Brixton, our family is moving to Gloucestershire.
Students who were attending classes in Montrell Road will be very warmly welcomed in the sessions at Brockwell Lido and St Thomas’s and Kings College Hospitals, and in September new sessions will open open up at the Lido, expanding the range of classes on offer in that fabulous location.
Our Birth Rehearsals will continue as before, with the Montrell road sessions being relocated to the Lido, and Nirlipta coming up from Stroud to run the sessions.
Our training work will also be continuing as before, with Uma commuting up to London on a monthly basis to run teacher training courses.
There will also be new Well-Woman yoga and weekly hynposis for birth sessions in Brockwell Lido and Kings College Hospital, so please check the schedule and sign up!
In the meantime, our beautiful home is up for rent. We’ve lived here ten years, and the house has been our yoga teaching space most of that time.
7 Holmewood Gardens, Brixton Hill, London SW2 3RS is a spacious terraced house on a garden square.
It has four big double bedrooms, and a double reception room, two bathrooms, plus another downstairs cloakroom & utility space, a giant kitchen/dining room and a conservatory/living room.
There’s a little patio garden at the back and the house faces onto a really gorgeous garden square with mature trees and a fabulous green and a playground. We love it.
All our three children were born here, thousands of pregnant women have learnt yoga here, and it’s a very colourful, warm, practical, family house to live in.
We are looking for tenants who would either like to rent the whole house or one room each. We are negotiable about the rent, approximately £100 per week on a room by room basis, or approximately £2,400 per month for the whole place.
If you or anyone you know would be interested, please email yoga@sitaram.org or call us on 0787 215 1122
We are moving out 31 July.
All the very best to our students and friends in Brixton.

New booking system coming soon
Type: — posted at 4:51 pm on 6/5/2008Our new online booking system will be in operation very soon. It will benefit all our students by confirming places for each class in advance, so there can be no more overcrowding or disappointment.
The system will keep up to the minute track of all students in every class, securing your place from week to week, and freeing up your teacher’s attention so that they can give more energy to creating the perfect class for you.
The new system will require all new and existing students to SIGN IN for each class that you plan to attend. To do this you will need to create an account with Sitaram and fill in you contact details – more information on this will be available once the system is live.
There is still the freedom to choose whichever class you wish, and there is no obligation to attend every week. You can come as and when suits you, using up your prepaid classes in the way that is most convenient to you. In return for this unusual flexibility, all we ask is that you take responsibility for your attendance by signing in for the classes you want to attend. If you cannot come, please do be sure to sign out, to free up the place for others. We often have waiting lists for our classes. If you sign up for a class and do not show up, it will be deducted from your remaining pre-paid classes.
To make things easy for everyone, there is a three hour cut-off point for scheduled weekly classes, so if something comes up at the last minute you can sign yourself in or out up to three hours before the start of the class. We think this is the most flexible system you will find anywhere, and we hope it will work for everyone, guaranteeing places for those who book ahead, and giving you the opportunity to make pretty last minute changes if you need to.

Welcome back to General Yoga on Wednesday Evenings
Type: — posted at 3:42 pm on 30/3/2008We are pleased to welcome back our popular general yoga class to the schedule on Wednesday evenings at Montrell Road. Form 23rd April, the Wednesday 7.30 class will re-open.
It will be taught by the very lovely Ambreen Hameed who has been a long-time student here at Sitaram, and is now a fully-fledged yoga teacher with a gentle and attentive manner of teaching.
The class will be open to all levels of students, and as the group is small (as always the limit is 10 students in this space), you can be sure to be part of a supportive group encouraging you to grow your yoga the way it suits you best.
Support for your well being

To book your appointment, please call the therapists directly on their own phones. In the future our new web booking system will enable you to make your own appointments on line.
